Bavarian Creme
The Wunseidelramp (not to be confused with rampenbed) is soon to be 55ft (looks bigger than that) of miniramp fun in Kirchenlamitz, in north of Bavaria, Germany. The opening party is tentatively set at November 5th, 2011. Photos and semi-unrelated Bavarian miniramp video after the jump. – Thanks Martin for the photos.
Indoor en La Tabacalera
An artfully done video of indoor skatepark construction in an old tobacco factory in Madrid, Spain with mostly recycled materials. It’s a bit long but it’s interesting, the soundtrack on middle timelapse section section had me cracking up. Check it out. – Thanks to Sarib Khalsa for the tip.
Please skate in our BMX pool
Apparently the did let four wheeled freaks in the pool. And yes, I agree with the reader comment who finds the fact that they plastered “The Pool” all over everything. I get it. Everyone gets it. It was built in a pool. The place probably still reeks of chlorine. They must pay their branding managers well. Skate footage courtesy of Caught in the Crossfire after the jump. – Thanks to Keith “method” Ayers for the tip
Pool build time lapse
A bit of stretch featuring this BMX only facility on Skate and Annoy once, let alone twice, but I’m a sucker for time lapse construction movies, and this spot is cool. Check it out after the jump, some before and during footage, and lots of footage of guys on bike – not skating but still killing it. – Thanks to MC.
Department of Skateboarding bowl sale
Usually you go to a department store to buy something instead of buying the Dept on Craigslist. Skateboarders need a place to skate, and in that place they need this bowl! The Department of Skateboarding has left their space in NE PDX to open up shop in a new location. Please help us find a home for this iconic piece of Portland skate history. We have a quote from a demo company that can assist in deconstruction, moving and reassembly for a fee. Price is negotiable. Bowl Details: – 6′ and 8′ deep sections – 50′ x 60′ footprint with surrounding raised deck area – Fully wood framed with plywood decking and OSB face – Tiled top edge underneath the coping – Thanks to Colin for the tip.

Commonwealth
SE Portland has a new spot in the works called Commonwealth Skateboarding. Yes, it’s going to be pay-to-play, but it’s also indoors and concrete. I haven’t seen it in person but I hear it’s comparable in size to BSSS. Who is behind it? Check out Sherkowski Daily for the scoop or visit the Facebook page. Meanwhile, Grover gained entrance and shot some work in progress.
Blackriver Bowl, Bavaria
You may remember Blackriver as associated with expensive fingerboard trucks, but they skate life sized terrain as well in Bavaria. (Now it make sense that $75 fingerboard trucks come from the land of BMW.) Photo sets on Flickr, or catch some vid after the jump. – Thanks to Martin Ehrenberger for the tip.
Time Lapse Theater: OMSA Bowl
Mixing it up a little in Time Lapse Theater. This week we have the factory bowl wooden pool replica courtesy of Dietches at OMSA. Somewhere in Germany.
Ceiling Fans
Here’s a quick video of Darren Navarrette bonking the ceiling at the private bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota that some of you thought was too mellow to be worth the effort.
