Skate and Annoy: Daily
50 greatest skate logos?
Fifty seems like too many, because a lot of them are just random sticker graphics and not really logos. It really needs to be tightened up. That’s my professional opinion that has nothing to do with the fact that they lifted at least three of the images from the S&A sticker archives without credit. Come on Don, it’s not that complex!
Cerebral Ballzy
Check out this music music video that looks like it was shot on VHS and mimics a few 80’s skate videos you may have seen. It includes Lance Mountain, Christian Hosoi, Salba, and Mike McGill. Good stuff. I love Adult Swim, but I’m not sure why they have music videos, it seems like they might actually be producing them. I’m sure it’s a job like any other, but it’s got to be a fulfilling creative environment to work in. – Thanks to Nathaalia for the tip.
Arvada, Colorado already in progress
It’s been nine months since I posted the preliminary plans for this regional park in Arvada, Colorado and now we’ve got some snake run construction photos courtesy of Team Pain.
All the skate nieuws that’s fit to print
Donald Duck Club, Dutch edition. It says copyright 2011 but it looks like it was reproduced on a copy machine made in 1984. See the whole thing after the jump, for all our Dutch readers, if there are any besides frequent contributor Matthijs.
SOTW 8-15-11: Casey Morrow
This week’s shot of the week is a Dabe Alan picture of Casey Morrow taken in NW Portland. After a day of pretty successful skating and shooting, we decided to head back to our respective homes. We happened to stop at a light next to a building that was being completely reworked and spotted this ridiculous ramp entrance that had not yet had a railing added. Figuring we only had a few days before the spot was ruined, Casey decided to brave the caution tape and hit the gap. Bigger version over at Flickr, or the regular anemic version over at the fabulously updated Shot of the Week.
Fecta
From Oregon Trifecta to Bifecta, and this year just plain old “Fecta” or Fecta and a half depending on how many peopel show up at Tobin’s house today. Dudes showed up yesterday at Pier Park and got rad, like Sky Siljeg (above) and Kevin Kowalski, but that’s all the photos you’ll get out of me. I missed most of it. Rich was there, you should see his pictures of Ffej from the Dew Tour.
Safety First
So what we have here is s little bit more than meets the eye. It’s not a Simpsons promotional item, but rather a generic workplace safety poster featuring licensed Simpsons characters. – Thanks to House of Neil for the photo.
I Left My Heart in San Francisco
Another Mayer Hawthorne video, this one with buttload street skating. Mayer Hawthorne must dig skateboarding.
