If you Have an unused half pipe…
Mr Duckhunt, excuse me, Dr Duckhunt has instructions on how to make an Army style tent from your collection of leftover unused halfpipes. Ever want an army style tent but just cant afford it. if you Have an unused half pipe setting around you can Turn it into an army tent clubhouse. If your fortunate enough to be Canadian and traded a case of moose head for a half pipe and salmon . Then it’s not expensive. This project cost me under $60. MC thinks this guy should be put on suicide watch. Judge for yourself at Instructables.
Gene pool
It’s been a while since we checked in on Gene’s My DIY backyard project. Looks like it’s done except for the decks. Additional coverage available at Confusion. Looks super fun.

Kevin sent in some pics in response to the post on the backyardskate project. Same idea, bigger scale. UPDATE: added a picture of the finished bump.
Pump bump hump
Hey there, I’m building a concrete nipple/pump bump at my house & figured I want it symmetrical so constructed a crude rotating aluminum pipe screed, figuring it should all work in theory but wondering if anyone done anything similar & of any problems in doing it this way. Pouring it this weekend so figured I’d put it out there for any useful hints or tips. Thanks Check it out on Backyard Skatepark
DIY concrete float
Confusion has simple but rad little plan for recycling an old skateboard into a concrete float. You can use the float to make more things to skate on, to wear out more skateboards, to make more concrete floats, to make more things to skate on…

Reader DIY: Garage Mini Maxi
Bryan from right here in S&A’s back yard sent in some pictures of a ramp he built in his garage. Longtime reader here, just got back from Afghan and finished up the last corner of my garage ramp. Two main sides are 6ft radius and 4ft and 7.5 ft tall, house door side is 4.5ft radius and 2ft tall and garage door side is 3ft radius with 6.5ft tall near-vert wall. The newest corner has a 1ft tall roll-up to 4ft radius quarter to wall ride. The corner at the base of the 7.5ft tall section is a compound curve-based hip. Looks pretty excellent. What are you using on that top layer?
