Another board from the old Canadian company Dominon. It’s no Rood Dood, but it’s still kind of interesting. This one almost looks like they licensed the likeness of Looney Tunes character The Road Runner. Who knows maybe they did. There’s an artist signature that looks something like T. Pailot or T. Millot, and other small text that could be a copyright, but doesn’t look like it says Warner Brothers.
– Thanks to Blis Jo Toen for the pics.
Dominion seems like it falls into the 80’s Variflex category, quality-wise. Like Nash and Variflex, Dominion began as a roller skate company that started making skateboards in the 60’s. Somehow it’s next to impossible to find any pictures of Dominon boards from that era, including there I guess less-than-famous Surf Skate as seen in low-res at Skull Skates. Even Art of Skateboarding only shows a few 80’s era boards.
Back to the Road Runner. Not really that special, but here it is, documented for your viewing pleasure. Check out that chunky wheel on the Dominion Pro II. Nice profile.

UPDATE: I received some more pictures. It looks like the signature is T. Pallot next to the Road Runner and Dominion 1988 under the left tire.

In case you don’t get the post title reference. Shame on you.
