Hot Wheels Flush & Go Bowl
Witness the Hot Wheels Skate Flush & Go Skate Bowl from Mattel. From that fisheye lens shot you’d think this must be 3 feet across, but it’s not. Man, I’m really having to restrain myself from making poop jokes in this post… The set comes with one board and one pair of fnigerboarding shoes and lists for about $35. What’s the size of a Hot Wheels fingerboard compared to a Tech Deck? Has the fnigerboarding industry sat down together for a roundtable discussion on scale nomenclature or was there already an ISO standard? Who cares? This fingerboard play set is the… (self control)!
– Thanks to Josh Baker for the tip!
If you squint, the small sticker on the inside of the bowl looks a smudge of the stuff. The pic below looks like the back of the box. For some reason there aren’t any available pictures of the front.
Looks like those “toilet paper ramps” can be repositioned in one of three locations. What exactly is the “& more?” Stay tuned.
The Flush feature is kind of the only thing interesting about this otherwise cramped bowl, aside from the toilet humor. The lever flushes a pre-positioned board into the bowl.
This poor kid looks like he’s wearing a Justin Bieber hair helmet.
Store your shoes on the shelf, but watch out for overspray! If you look closely, the fingershoes have a removable slug that allows the soles to clip onto the boards and acts as Skyhooks™. Peep the specs.
I can only imagine how amazing a proper TV commercial would be for this toy, but at the time of publication there is none. They did make a sort video showcase, but unfortunately it doesn’t have any voice-over.
