I feel sorry for the “model” who got a big break only to end up bent over facing away from the camera with a Jimmy’Z fanny pack and her ass being the main attraction of the poster. “Look Ma, I’m on a poster!” Unbelievably, the seller thinks this is worth $79! I made an offer $10, which he refused. I upped the ante to $11, and the seller countered with $35. I don’t think they recognized the sarcasm in my bids.

The copyright on this “Funky Enterprises” poster says 1988. It’s number 3202, titled California Girls-Skateboard. I case you were wondering, those board has 95a Bones Streetstyle wheels were styled by Renee’s Skateboards and Activewear of Los Angeles. That’s in California, don’t ya know? Incredibly, a quick Google search for “Renee’s Skateboards and Activewear” comes up with nothing, so I guess Renee got out of the biz.
A Gordon & Smith board on the right. Looks to be a Neil Blender of some sort, seen here.
As for the board on the left, I’m not sure. G&S made some decks in that stain pattern (seen here), but looking at the length of the shape in the picture, it looks more like a longboard. Anyone recognize the top graphic? Protec helmets make the whole thing even more authentic, except for the lack of griptape on top of the red board.

Don’t be such a hick… those girls look like they’d be at home in Bermuda shorts. While little ol’ Florida was happily importing Blue Man tanga bikinis, Blue Man did not even bother advertising in the California surf magazines, because it was obvious that California Reaganettes were more comfortable with this above-the-hip-bone, “ass in a sling” bikini look… that wasn’t much sexier than their Bermuda shorts. Friggin’ grannykinis.
