Skate and Annoy: Daily

You can’t buy this kind of advertising…

Actually, you can. I get emails form advertising firms on a semi regular basis offering cold hard cash for a text link to a client’s web site. Usually it’s for automobile companies or something vaguely Extreme!™ related, but this last one I got was actually skateboard related. And since there was a “limited number of spots available to earn income today” I thought I’d go for it. Why do they want text links? Well it’s to boost search engine ranking. And so I bring you skatehut.co.uk. My dear readers, you are under no obligation to click on that link at all, as I’m pretty sure including will adversely affect the SEO rankings at Skate and Annoy. And that’s what $50 will get you.

P.S. I went to the site on a lark and clicked on the “Decks” link in the “Popular Categories” list on the left and got served a 404 error. sweet.

Also, after clicking on that link, I get ads for that company on pretty much every page that has ad space. Independent is even spelled wrong in the ad!

  • Clatskanie Local

I’m worried too. Pools and brews!

  • Auntie Larry is concerned about Skate and Annoy’s current ‘core’ rating.

  • ditchwork

Aghh! In 30 seconds of browsing, I saw $700 scooters, roller skates and they spelled Independent – Independant. It is what it is. We all have to make a living somehow.

I thought it was spelled Trendependent…

      • Fitzzzzzz....

I thought Ace were the hot new swass?

        • francisco

I don’t know what swass means and I hear that Ace axle’s bend like twizzlers. I have no clue.

          • Fitzlers

Swass is my new favorite worst-word ever. According to the kids, it means fresh, cool, etc. I love to hate it.

Therefore, it’s the most fitting term for Ace… They look super-flimsy, and I think I would bend the shit out of them.
