Skate and Annoy: Daily

Craig’s list is for lovers…

Lovers of crazy skateboards and crazy people selling them. On the left hand side there’s a crazy lady in West Linn, Oregon who has a set of wheels she thinks is worth $200 in a skateshop, but she’ll sell them to you for $50. It’s a priceless listing. I’ve preserved it after the jump for when the listing dies. By the way, I didn’t crop that photo, that’s the way she posted it. Meanwhile, In the Bay Area we have some generic toy store board and an excellent specimen of one of the lessor varieties of Skatewing. I actually have one of these black plastic ones, but the stickers are all non-existent except for the safety warning on the tail. It’s not as fancy as some versions, but it’s still, uh, important in the evolution of the species.

– Thanks to Pete Lewis and Seedy for the tips.

Skateboard Wheels or Trucks –Special (West Linn)

Date: 2011-03-31, 4:39PM PDT

The wheels (trucks) are 2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches wide.

These are strong wheels–designed for long use. The move VERY smoothly and they have very little wear.

The number on the wheels is: #18ORIII

The wheels themselves would cost probably around 200 in a skateboard shop.

I currently have them on a long board someone made. However, you can so easily slip them off! The board is nothing special, but you may have it if you want when you get the trucks.

I had a guy try the board and it was great: He got going fast. Then he jumped up and ended up facing backwards! You can’t really do that on a regular board. In the jump the board held his weight GREAT. Then he tried moving into a handstand on the board while it was rolling down the sidewalk…. He almost did it and said he would need to practice. This is the sort of thing this kind of board will allow you to do (among other different tricks!)

I am a 60 year old woman and I won’t be out skate boarding so I leave it to your imagination what you want to do with the wheels!

PRICE: $50! Or make an offer!
