Myrtle Creek Oregon Skatepark

There’s something you don’t see everyday

Billy Runaway from Addikt Skateboards sent in a few snaps of the newly created Myrtle Creek, Oregon skatepark built by Grindline. An 8,500 square foot park is pretty darn good for a town with a population of 3,419 in the 2000 census.

ya i like those fronside airs you were doing on the big wall dan! good stuff. It was good to see you at the park

wow daddy yo really is a kook/moron maybe u shouldnt judge a park from a picture on the the internet although I doubt you will ever come here and skate it with your kook board. There is plenty of coping to grind in this park at mach speed. why do you care you cant even grind?

  • jakeferranti

yeah, i cant really tell from the shots above,it wasnt a dig at the park design, rather just my observation that the roll in would seem to make sense there. that park looks fun to me.

  • There is plenty of speed in this park to hit the top of that wall with the pool blocks.

  • Nice pics Dan. Sorry I couldn’t make it down. Looked like the perfect day to skate. Who’s going to be the first to loop one of those pipes?

  • jakeferranti

From the 1st pic taken at the top of the deck, looks like the only way to get decent speed to get to that pool cope, would be to roll from the top of the pipe directly across from it. i’d hit it.

  • Myrtle Creek was a blast! It’s the type of park that takes a while to figure out. Thanks!

“Are those supposed to be roll-ins on top?”

Those are bike racks you dummy!

  • What is with those pipes in the middle? Are those supposed to be roll-ins on top?

Roll-ins are for kooks. They should have made those transitions with coping on top.

  • Tom Miller

Myrtle Creek is fun. Definitely a different set up with those three pipes in the middle. Probably the best finish on a Grindline park I’ve skated.

Harrisburg was a wash-out for us this morning. It looked fun if overly programmed. There are some new, hybrid-style features. Plaza purists will be frustrated.

  • We should be driving through Portland around 9ish…

Harrisburg sounds like a go too…

  • Ryan Heckler

this park looks pretty Meh to me, where’s the race track?

  • Dan – What time will you be passing through Portland? I’m thinking about heading down there as well.

  • Dan, Make sure to catch harrisburg’s opening on Sunday.

  • Heading there Saturday… Anyone else? MC?

  • Stefan killing it!

  • sutherlin mike

That park is wreaking me. weve been there everyday since friday. SO fun though.

  • Will Jones
