Singapore has something called the Chinese Garden Lantern Festival. This year’s festival had a large Hello Kitty presence, including Hello Kitty and friends riding skateboards. Yep, ’76. While in Japan I got to see all the Hello Kitty stuff they don’t sell here in the U.S. like Hello Kitty vibrators and condoms.
