eBay Watch: June 2007

OK, first this month I want to clarify some things. Namely, what Baywatch is and what it is not. It is a column where I list skateboard related auctions that caught my eye the previous month on eBay. It is completely random: I cover what I find interesting, unusual or funny. It is not a price guide and was never meant to be one. I guess because I list the final auction price people sometimes use it in that way, but that is not the prime purpose. If a definitive price guide is what you are looking for, then you are looking in the wrong place. If not, then check out the June 2007 eBay Watch.

  • That Tony Hawk model thats super reflective and shiny with the boring graphic, do you happen to know more details on it?
Oddly I actually want to get one since thats the same deck I started learning on way back which was destroyed in a really amateur rail accident when I was about 12 hahaha

  • WOW!!
I went through memory lane there mate. Great site!!!
The Jeff Grosso (alice in wonderland) was in my posession once, bought it new when i was around 12 years old i think.

I knew it was rare then, i just had to have it. Had santa cruz wheels with it (not sure, i thought also screaming hand) and gullwing trucks.

    Nice stuff!

That is a great collection of boards. Now my question is do you happen to know the value of a schmitt stix John Lucero street thing? I have one that has never been ridden or had trucks and hardware ever being attached. It’s in awesome condition and has been signed by Lucero. The grip tape on the top is original and the top graphic is perfect. Let me know because I never see them on the resale market. Thanks.

the craziest thing is, he’s laying down MAJOR cash on reissues. Like in over $500. On reissues. Unreal.

  • Check this guy out, laying down serious cash for all these boards: frgonzalez9

    This guy is nuts!

  • dude,

Your monthly reports rock. I hang out to read it every time.

    Keep up the honesty,

That’s actually a Winnie the Pooh. From the 90’s era where World (and others) blatantly ripped off other copyrighted characters and logos. There’s an example in the eBay watch. Why Winnie? I don’t know, because it was funny or stupid or they just wanted show how outrageous they could be by ripping off Disney.

  • What is up with the pimped out Teddy Ruxpin?

  • A

The sticker deck sure looks like World Industries art. The Foundation shirt that one skater is wearing fits because Rocco helped Swank start Foundation. World was the manufacturer or distributor in the beginning. They had some sort of business arrangement at least.

The sticker deck is a pretty cool idea actually. I don’t like the art style but I dig the concept. Reminds me of Colorforms.
