Goodyear goes old school.
Street boneless in a TV commercial? Yes, but it’s European, so maybe that explains it. Check out this fun commercial for Goodyear Eagle tires. You can almost taste the spring air in the first few moments. – Thanks to Eric Cherry for the tip. [Source: Flabber]
Goodyear Eagle tire commercial
Right. Who is this skater? Maybe he’s the Norwegian Jason Lee. His ollie over the trash can is almost higher than his first air off the launch ramp. Looks like a fun course he’s got set up. The punch line special effects look a little amateurish, but the desired effect is achieved. This commercial falls into the “skateboarding can be funny” category, as opposed to using skateboards to appeal to the Extreme!™ consumer.
The embeded video
Does anyone knoww anything about Video-loader.com? That’s who is hosting the embedded video, but if you go to their top level domain, nothing comes up but a server error. It’s also strange that there is no branding on the player, and they let you download the raw file without making you jump through the extra hoop of extracting the Flash video and converting it. Why would anyone do that? It must be some sort of pirate thing. It sure made it easy for me to do this:
I kept expecting some Goodyears to save the guy from being hit by a car, so I got a good laugh. Does that look like a european housing development? I’m guessing it was made in the US. Maybe it’s like when movies bomb in the US but make their money back with video sales and in foreign markets.
well, the video is german, i have never seen that commercial on tv though..
That was pretty funny, nice little boneless to start the progression. I liked the landing on the roof.
