Newcastle England UK Skate scene

Newcastle – More Than Just Good Beer

Now this is what we need. More contribtors like Matt Sefton. Originally intended as one of our scene reports It was just too long and too well done. So I made it a feature. Long time readers already know we have a U.K. connection in ex-pat House of Neil, so we’re glad to continue the tradition. Read the Newcastle feature.

You wouldn’t believe it but the local council finally decided to repair the bowl after we had already done it.They sliced right through it and removed all the concrete to a depth of 100 mm and renewed the rio. They still have to pour the crete so our bowl was unskateable this afternoon. We decided to skate the indoor park instead and had a private session. We didn’t have to tear a new ass hole in it cause the council tore the ass right out of it. Typical beurocracy of local councils (BUNCH OF F%$K WITS) We possibably embarassed them and they finally got of their asses and did somthing to repair the bowl About 3 months late. We had already fixed it at night with lights and portable generaters, diamond saws and a good concrete job as well. This took about 4 hours of our time and about 100 km or driving .What a bunch of dumb c#*ts

Cool reading. You guys have some pretty rad places. My Newcastle here in Australia has the sun and surf but you guys seem to have better parks.I generally have to travel to Sydney to get parks of that quality Love your banks though. They are similar to the ones we have and they are under a bridge too We call our spot bridge banks. Its a huge right hander which goes down to a left and right under an over pass.We also have a really sweet peanut shaped bowl which is a carvers paradise.Going there this afternoon with the crew ,should be going off we will be tearing a new asshole in the place thats for sure(F*ckin rad)

  • Good read mate, forwarded this on to a mate in Oxford who was asking about the Newcastle park. I would disagree with the Bleak and pisses down all the time facts (man its the tropics compared to the north west) good way of keeping all the southerners away though hahaha

  • Great read, Matt! Great to see the parks and skate places.

Trevenen even posts here! Watch out for that spammer!

    🙂
