Wizard Shit: Magic Hat Elder Betty Beer Review
Apparently this beer is is weisse-style that is flavored with elder berry. I have no idea what an elder berry tastes like. All I know is Voldemort wanted to get the Elder Wand in Harry Potter and that it turned out to be overrated. In the books, the Elder Wand was one of the three Deathly Hallows which were created by three powerful wizardly brothers. I’m not sure if they all had grey beards, but they probably did. Anyhow, it was supposedly unbeatable in a duel. But in the end of the seventh book Harry overpowered it using Draco’s wand, which kind of proved that the Elder Wand really wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.
I’d say the same thing about this beer, but I don’t know that anyone thinks very highly of this beer to begin with. I’ve had it before, but it really left no lasting impression. Who knows, maybe if I’d ever eaten an elderberry I’d have some clue as to what I’m supposed to get from this brew. Or maybe I should eat some shroomies and get magical on this beer with my wizard skills. What? Avada kedavra!
yep, elderberries. I’ll stick to my IPAs, Porter and Stouts. ….but, if that shows up in the fridge, I’m checkin’ it out.

“flavored” beer. Nope. Can’t do it. Not even if it were the last beer in the fridge.
