Vision: New Millennium
The harder the come, the harder they fall. Vision’s board line up for Winter 97-98 is pretty pathetic. Even if you weren’t a fan of their 80’s products, you still had to admire their mostly cohesive artistic direction and… well.. vision. Now they’ve got generic computer 3D renders of spaceships, even more generic cartoon graphics on skateboards with names worthy of 80’s era Nash and Variflex, and pictures of pros (Gonzales) in the 80’s that don’t even ride for them anymore. I suppose they owned the copyright in the photo/video grab, but you have to wonder how Mark felt about appearing in a Vision advertisement in 1998.
