Skuda: New Pro-Am
Like a lot of companies, Skuda started out with some cheap plastic skateboards before attempting to break into the high-performance market. The L-A model up top looks interesting in that’s it’a a laminate board with a molded kicktail, but has the styling of a traditional solid plank hardwood board with stringers. Looks sharp, but how did it hold up?
Here’s a deal of the Skuda Californian, not to be confused with the Skuda L-A.
This kids is stoked to be in full safety gear having his picture taken in the studio. Hopefully he got a free skateboard and a t-shirt out of the deal.

I’ve just found this, I’m a 58 year old surveyor and I’ve got one of these, I bought it new in 78/79 by working three paper-rounds when my parents banned from skateboarding on safety grounds, still ride it occasionally, usually when not sober! It’s my prize possession, is there anyone who refurbishes vintage skateboards?
Lucky man, I had a Skuda LA when I was a kid, again, my prized possession, but was stolen when I was 15 years old, I was devastated. I am also 58 years old and would love to find another one.
