Powerflex Elephant
The old tougher-than-an-elephant gag from Powerflex skateboards. Not the greatest idea to name your company after a performance trait in a fickle industry. Flexible skateboards would remain viable for a couple years, but stiffness would eventually be the norm. Still, you have to love an advertisement with an elephant standing on a skateboard. It’s much harder to coordinate than a plain old car.
