Mojo Phase III
Mojo Boards Phase III, Possibly the first ever case of a truck baseplate molded into the actual deck, something commonly seen on toy-store decks these days, but being touted as an advantage in this advertisement since it allows for “precise alignment.” Interchangeability with leading brand name trucks would lead you think that they actually believed it was a feature and not just a cost cutter. On top of that, it’s a two page advert spread with a “featured skateboarder.” The ad copy mentions “dished decks” which we can assume means concave.
Here’s a closeup of the groovy Mojo logo.
Skateboards have evolved over the years from wood to fiberglass, and now to the third phase-Mojo Boards. Pressure molded from a polyester-based, glass-reinforced, chemically fused compound developed specifically for skateboards. Now all Mojo Boards are designed with truck hangers molded in the chassis. This all-new concept allows for perfect alignment of trucks for maximum control, stability and wheel life. This new unique uni-molded truck hanger accepts Sure Grip, X-Caliber and other similar truck assemblies.
Moio Boards are designed with these features for high-performance skateboarding:
- Dished decks for extra traction and control.
- Enough flex and weight for maximum performance.
- Exact engineered truck alignment due to uni-molded truck hangers. Patent Pending
