Ebay Watch by House of Neil  –  135 installments

It’s a Bummer! Neil wrote his first Ebay Watch  in the print edition of Skate and Annoy V2 #1, way back in 2001. He wrote the first version for the web site in 2003, and would heroically go on to write a total of 135 installments before calling it quits in 2015! That means it’s been about 11 years since we had a fresh Ebay Watch! Why did he quit? Is was a gargantuan task, and the internet being the internet… Most people loved it and couldn’t wait for each month’s installment. Some people were trolls. Some people would actually get angry, as if it were a personal attack. “My auction wasn’t covered,” or sometimes “This auction wasn’t covered factually.” Neil became inundated with requests. “HOW MUCH IS THIS WORTH???!!!”  In the end, he closed this chapter of his life, much to the dismay of most of us. Ebay Watch remains archived here for posterity and the joy of all those who remember it, still fascinating. Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to can another one out of him.
