Have a cool holiday
A penguin riding a skateboard is cool. Illustration by Stephanie Brachmann. Get yours at Crafty Wonderland or Etsy. Have a cool holiday, dear readers.
Cool Kid Birthday Card
Nothing says “Cool Kid” like a skateboarding dog. This birthday card from 2011 came with a button. Apparently I didn’t have the foresight to snap the publishers print on the back. Congratulations to me on managing to make a post that took less than a half an hour.
Happy Halloween
I really should have sent this Halloween card to you earlier. I’m sorry. I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings.
Happy Valentines Day
I didn’t catch these skateboard Valentines until late on Saturday night. There hasn’t been a lot of skateboard themed valentines in the past few years. You know, maybe skateboarding is losing it’s popularity. Head on over to your local Walgreens, these items ought to be massively on sale today.
Bohemian Greeting Cards
“Dear Friend, I so enjoyed our session yesterday. Let’s rip together again some time soon. Yours in counterculture, Bobby.” Bohemian Greeting Cards, available at a gift shop going out of business soon. Check your mall for details. It’s only a matter of time before my mother in-law sends me one of these. I should start an “office pool.”
Boo.
Because they didn’t have a greeting card addressed “Dear Readers.” Ghost on a skateboard, with a pumpkin. Happy Halloween. Away you go, Grandson!
The skatepark design debate has ended!
The great debate can finally be laid to rest. Are you sick of hearing “Too many old dudes making the decisions.” or “Too many bowls.” or “Not enough vert!” or “Stop being a spoiled baby and skate what you have!” ? (How do you punctuate that sentence anyway?) Well then, your prayers have been answered. We went directly to the source, the youth of today. Because children are our future, we consulted this birthday card to come up with the perfect skatepark design. (Thanks to Troy Sliter)
