trespassing in Lincoln City

If you are skateboarding, you are trespassing

I saw this little gem behind the outlet malls in Lincoln City, Oregon this weekend. Now I’m only disappointed in myself that I didn’t investigate how easy it would have been to add this to the permanent Kilwag collection. But then again, not the sort of thing you’d want to do with a sleeping toddler in the car. This might be my favorite no skateboarding sign of all times. You have to dig the no nonsense approach. Click to enlarge. UPDATE: just added another beauty of a sign from the same location, from reader John Drummond.

I left my heart in San Francisco…

…and my camera bag in Lincoln City, for crying out loud. Now I have to drive back in the morning and go get it. I was camping there since Friday. At the camp site there were no less than five kids on skateboards being towed around the camp site behind bicycles, three of them on longboards. Thanks to everyone who ordered a shirt, I will be packing them up to ship out on Wednesday. And now back to regularly scheduled programming, thanks to Carl Warren who does not live in Hood River. Another installment of Skateboard Action. Dig the U-shaped slide.

Shot of the Week 6-22-09: Downhill bomb

This week’s Shot of the Week is Casey Morrow bombing a hill in the Dalles, Oregon, on something called the Skyline. Bad Brains - Rootz Beer

Bad Brains – Rootz Beer

When they aren’t busy trying to get me to advertise, the folks at Punk Radio Cast have teamed up with extreme sports friends Jones Soda to release some limited edition labels in a variety pack. They “collaborated” with five artists, including the Bad Brains, and four other bands you don’t care about. Considering the potential, it’s a weak execution.

It’s all in the merch

Here’s the answer to everyone who’s been clamoring for t-shirts, well at least that one guy… Skate and Annoy merchandise booth is now open. These aren’t phantom t-shirts either. They actually exist in a big box in my living room. Price: $15 for the first one. $10 each additional. Shipping: $5 flat fee for up to 3.
