If you have anything left after the Trifecta, the contractor plans to remove the latest round of graffiti from the new Extreme Sports Park at Pacific Community Park starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 13. They got several gallons of a graffiti removal product called “EnviroStrip” from the city of Vancouver that Grindline also used on the park once. It works very well and is environmentally friendly. You just paint it on, let it sit and pressure wash it off. If anyone out there is interested in helping with this removal effort, and is available during this time, we would LOVE the help. There is a whole lot of paint to remove this time – on pretty much on every part of the park (I won’t post graffiti photos because it’s like getting up again isn’t it? I cobbled the above together from one of the photos.). If you can make it, just show up at the park after 10 a.m. and ask for Steve Ambuehl. He will provide brushes, gloves, the product and the pressure washer. You just need to bring yourself, some drinking water, sunscreen (if it’s actually sunny), and comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting really…

MAsters Division 2nd Place: Steve Alba. This was not a lien -to -tale but the end of a long grind with a nose grab that he tweaked before reentry.

Ladies: 1st place: Julie Kindstrom. 2nd: Jessica Starkweather. 3rd place Holly Lyons. Local Shane Bell (who placed 15th overall) was the second person to make it over the door today, and third person ever! The first two were pros, by the way. (Peter Hewitt months ago and Steve Alba during the Trifecta Grand Masters earlier in the day – C ed) He made his backside, and pulled it off a couple times today, twice in a row even. Rune Glifberg was the third person to make it over the door Saturday. He made it a handful of times as well, both front side and backside. Benji Galloway also made it over, backside as well. I got this one posted an hour earlier tonight. I even took time off to put my kid to bed, eat dinner with my wife and watch part of a movie. That’s right. I’m a family man.

Taking a quick break from the Trifecta to post a couple of pics. Duane Peters was totally living up to the “Master of Disaster” title, it’s fun to watch that guy ride when he’s on his game.

Except this isn’t the one that he made. Bryce got it though.

We’re looking forward to this year’s Oregon Trifecta, even if it isn’t all in Oregon this year. In fact, I’m getting ready to head out to Lincoln City within the hour. I’m excited now, but I’m sure I’ll be sick of it by Sunday. One thing that is going to make this year’s event even more interesting is the change of venue for Saturday and Sunday. This year we’ll be at Pier Park and Battleground Washington, which should definitely help breathe some life into the series.
