This Spaghettios label was found on Flickr, but the original link was lost. My money was on this guy Gregg Koenig. He’s got other Spaghettios labels presented in a similar fashion, but it didn’t come up in the search, maybe there was a typo on that one. I was going to look through his whole stream but he’s got an insane amount (2,522) of old food images. It turns out it belongs to Jason Liebig and it dates to the 90’s. I’m swapping out hard drives and cleaning out an email attachments from a program I haven’t used in two years. (Eudora is dead! Long Live Eudora!) and I found these blurry cell phone snaps of some skateboard valentines from 2009.

Kind of a stretch to tie in a gratuitous Everly Brothers reference, but it’s slightly more clever than putting “Tony Hawk files for 3rd Divorce” in the headline. Hawk… Bird… Dog… Divorce… get it? GET IT? Yeah, I had to make you work for that one. And I am not implying his wife is a dog, so don’t even start. The real news here is no that Tony is unlucky at love, but that his divorce is newsworthy to US Weekly and the Washington Post, even if it is only in the celebrity section. – Thanks to… everyone an their brother who sent this in, but truth be told, Mrs Kilwag found it first.

It’s going to be a light week here on S&A. I’m swamped with outside projects, so the only thing you get today is Calbee BBQ corn. It’s Hot & Spicy and the corn tassel mowhaked mascot likes to break dance and skateboard.

Tony Hawk is hosting the Hall of Game Awardsshow February 25th on Cartoon Network. It’s a mildly amusing commercial, but what’s really interesting is a weird segment that aired immediately afterward called Super Scooter Dog. It’s one weird looking dog riding a scooter that is way more entertaining than any dog on a scooter. There’s no explanation as to what it’s for, but I suspect it’s something related to Cartoon Network.

Skull Skates founder PD appeared on a Vancouver-based TV show called Urban Rush. He had a ton of product and a couple dark silent types from Barrier Kult. I was hoping for more interaction with the Barrier Kult guys, they look so sinister standing on that set, like it’s a hostage situation. A large segment of the skateboarding population knows about Barrier Kult, but I’m sure their presence was shocking and a little disconcerting to the general viewing public, especially in the current political climate.
