I don’t know where they dug up this before shot. Like the flyer says, benefit at Plan B, in Portland. (Seriously? MySpace?) Someone ought to throw a benefit for Plan B so they can get a web site. I see Stinkbug on the bill.

I can appreciate this project a lot, but if they wanted to really go old school they’d stick with steel wheels. I really don’t know squat about Nomad Skateboards except it has nothing to do with American Nomad. In fact, this company is out of Spain. They must be doing well though, or at least they have an extremely competent marketing department. The video and imagery for this limited edition board looks thoroughly professional. – Thanks to Seth Levy for the tip.

On the way to pier 62 in new york, this caught my eye. An attempt to skate proof a jersey. Now I have seen it all – Thanks to Kevin Cann for the tip.

Skate and Annoy welcomes Deadbolt Pads to the site. You might have noticed their banner ads for a while now. I couldn’t get any information out them other than a picture of Duane Peters, who recently joined the team. I do know firsthand that these pads have been in the works for many years and have gone through several design revisions. I don’t have a set myself, but I’ve seen some of the prototypes. One thing that I immediately noticed was the beefy cap and the fact that the knee gasket is built into the pads already. There’s three kind of foam and some sort air chamber built into it, and well, check out the web site for more info. Oh yeah, Made in the USA!

I don’t know these guys but I’m always getting emails from them asking if I could post a video because it would “really help them out.” I’m sure I’m on a long list of sites getting this request, so for Glob’s sake, think of the children and watch “The Crew” skate.

I totally forgot about this groundbreaking event. Forget the 1080, looping on a longboard is epic! If you laugh at this video you’ll have bad luck at your next session.
