X-treme-mas!
Merry X-treme-mas! Ho, ho, haaar! Here’s a wrap up of skateboard Christmas ornaments. Sorry Jews, Muslims, Mormans, Rastafarians, Pastafarians, Pan-Africans, etc… Nothing against you. Praise Jeebus and give thanks to Batman.
November 2006 eBay Watch
Hey everybody. Well it appears that we are in the yearly eBay slump. Seriously. I’ve never seen so many auctions go off where the decks didn’t meet reserve. There are some great bargains out there on decks that don’t have a reserve: I will list a couple, but go on there and do some digging. You might be surprised. I’ve also got a couple of funny auctions at the end. A couple of them should have the seller name “Hopeful Bastard”. This month, this column is fueled by Heinz baked beans, the sounds of Ignite, and is 100% created on a 20” G5 iMac at 1 pm on a Friday afternoon. One of the benefits of being a consultant I guess. Check it out.
Future eBay deal of the century!
I contacted a skateboard expert. He said this is a good quality used skateboard good for a kid. He can not tell me the brand name of it. It does have some cartoon characters on the bottom of it. He guessed it is the sort sold in a toy store. I asked him if guys who do tricks (I seem them in the park blocks in Portland) would use one like this. He said some do, but most would choose a longer board. This is for a kid to start learning to skate board! It is in excellent shape. The skate board expert I spoke to said the board would sell for around 80 in a shop. I do not know if he is right or not! That is why I say 15 and also say to make an offer. I am not skating on it (most women around 50 don’t skateboard much!) and some kid should enjoy it! Sweet. Now we are going to have to start a Craig’s list column too. She contacted a skateboard expert… Hmmm, I didn’t get that call. I need to have a word with my answering service. If you want to get started…
eBay Watch for October 2006
Due to feedback on the column, this month I’m starting a “weird” auctions section, that features some of the more unusual items from the skateboards section of eBay. As always, this stuff is totally random; whatever catches my eye. I may miss some stuff that goes off, but hey, that’s life. If you guys see something good I missed, send it in! And as always, thanks for all of the comments, keep them coming. Now, on to eBay Watch for October 2006.
September 2006 BayWatch is up!
Hey everybody. I just finished the September 06 Baywatch, so check it out. 40 skate items that were auctioned off on ebay in September, sorted for your reading pleasure. And with my sarcastic comments to boot. Does life get any better? Your comments/corrections are always welcome. Enjoy.
eBay Watch August 2006
August 2006 eBay Watch is up. Recognize those eyebrows? Anyone wanna buy some shoes for $1844? Anyone? Check it out.
eBay Watch Cleaned Up. Missing Post Found.
I cleaned up the formatting and some errors on a bunch of the old posts, took care of some Explorer CSS bugs, and even found a missing post from May 2003. How embarrassing.
eBay Watch for July 2006
Our eBay watch column for July 2006 is up. We’re going out on a limb here to allow commenting on individual eBay Watch columns since it’s actually one of our most popular features. It seems the House of Neil isn’t 100% accurate 100% of the time, and he took a bit of a beating in some of the popular collecting forums. This is an attempt to make it better, so please be cool.
