State Fair footage
Here’s some footage from the Oregon State Fair Open. First annual, I guess. I forgot to post about it until the day of the event, sorry guys. Described to me as “Raw , blurry and , well, crust.” Don’t worry Albany locals, I’ll get to your contest too. I’m still behind a Trifecta day after all. Sheesh. – Thanks to jesus Crust for the tip.
NW contests this September
So far, three contests coming up in the Northwest this September. First up, Dokument is sponsoring a contest inside the Oregon State Fair in Salem TODAY. KGW has a video preview. Later on – September 19th Ravage is sponsoring a contest in Aumsville, Oregon. That’s right, contests are back in Aumsville. We’ve talked a lot about the lame goings on in Aumsville in the past year, that’s why we decided to get on board and sponsor this one. Time to put up or shut up. Trying to do do something positive here. Aumsville is a great park after all. That same weekend, Lib Tech is throwing the “Duh-Bowl Trouble” contest series in Port Angeles and the Forks, Washington. Be on the lookout for teenage vampire fans in the Forks… Fliers after the jump.
Late snap of the week
Jessica Starkweather at the Oregon-you-know-what, you know-know-where edition. I take this shot of her every time I see her at Pier Park, though usually the timing is better, as it’s actually a double truck frontside carve grind. Enlarge-o-rama.
Headless
This would have been a good photo, were it not for the fact the skater has no head. You go to work and you come You sit around every day You got a lotta, lotta Jackin’ down the street on my funky three Tell me why there’s people bigger than me Six foot yesterday, now I’m five foot three ‘Cause I’m headless On paper, it’s perplexing. But hearing it in context is another thing. Name the band jack wads.
Mumble, mumble.
Here’s a shot of Mark Partain that I took at some event that I was at. Can’t seem to remember what it was called, or when it was. All I can remember is someone saying the crowd smells like beer. Enlarge-o-rama.
Well, you know.
This is some guy from Texas. I was watching him further down in the pipe and it looked like he had the height a few times, but he wasn’t going anywhere near the door. Then all of the sudden he went for it and surprised the hell out everyone. That’s clearance, Clarence!
Trifecta stalling continued
Yeah, I’m pretty busy, so here’s a shot of Chris Russell nose grinding through the corner at Pier Park. I think Chris is two years old, give or take 10-12 years. Enlarge-o-rama. I think I’m so behind that this may retroactively become a Shot of the Week.
Trifecta Bloat
I took too many pictures. It’s taking a while to get through them all. Here’s Lance to tide you over.
Oregon Trifecta – More Tigard shots
So I heard another kid broke an arm at Tigard. His name is Kieth Baldassere, and that’s him above. I missed that whole exchange. Check out page two of Tigard photos. I tried to mix them up some, so there will be new faces on page two.
but not as ill-defined as the path to a career in journalism.
A Google alert led to this Dew Tour related piece at Oregon Live but what really interested me was seeing my pal Jack Grover as the featured future action sports hopeful. Hey, wait a minute, Grover is getting paid? I beat him at the Trifecta. I need to find a new agent.
