Longtime Skate and Annoy readers might remember Dallas Oberholzer from the 2005 interview we published on the South African skate scene. While we’re officially ambivalent about skateboarding in the Olympics, it’s our pleasure to see him going there. Dallas gets around. The bros at Mad Bro Enterprises are taking a cue from circa 2003 with the 2016 Xtreme Amateur Games. The first event in the series is on Sunday the 31st at an indoor park called D-Block in Clackamas, Oregon. The street luge track is rumored to be very, very short.

There’s an auction group online benefiting the Tony Hawk Foundation. Alongside opportunities to hang out at the Tony Hawk headquarters or have a Birdhouse session, there are also some items from Tony’s personal collection. The standout gem is Tony’s 2nd place trophy From the 1989 Savanah Slamma II, signed of course.

Exposure is an all girl skate contest created and run by professional multi-tasker Amelia Brodka (pictured above). This year’s edition at Encinitas Community Skate Park included street skating and Tony Hawk’s portable halfpipe. Video by Dan Bourqui.
