Ikea Spanst Collection
You can’t make this stuff up folks, or maybe you can.
IKEA has teamed up with LA-based fashion designer Chris Stamp, and freelance designer Maja Ganszyniec for a limited edition collection: SPÄNST. Inspired by street fashion and an active lifestyle, SPÄNST features furniture, accessories and items for storing, displaying and organizing some of your favorites at home. So whether it’s for a skateboard, the jacket that could be considered a work of art, or for the shoes that look better after each wear, SPÄNST is a way for you to uncover your lifestyle; to exhibit it at home with the same amount of artistry and pride within the four walls, as you do outside of them.
This is a handful of months old to be sure, but our site was down when this was fresh. If a tree falls down in a forest when S&A isn’t online….
Here’s the first review I found online. I’m a little disappointed there’s no Ikea logo on this thing anywhere.
The only thing that comes fully assembled at IKEA is a skateboard. Is this an episode of the Twilight Zone?
Yeah, the only thing that’s actually rewarding putting together yourself comes assembled? WTF, IKEA
They blew it by not giving it a formica bottom.
Low key I bought the shoe/skateboard rack from this collection. It holds like 10 pairs of shoes and two skateboards in a pretty elegant design. Great for the entryway of my place.
