This 1966 film is available for viewing online, legally at the National Film Board of Canada. Actually, they are showing the 1969 version, which is the English language version instead of the original French version. You can even buy a DVD copy if you want. If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely watch this gem.

I’ve got a few friends that skate the hill featured in the video. They call it The Devil’s Toy 🙂

a great piece of skateboarding history , i wonder hwere thos Montreal skaters are now, used to bomb those same hills back in the ’80 s.Sadly Claude Jutra
commited suicide in the 85 ,Jutra was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease in the early 1980s. He died, an apparent suicide, in 1986. His body was found in the St. Lawrence River some months after he disappeared, with a note in his pocket reading “I Am Claude Jutra.” [1]

I particularly relish the sarcastic tone taken about the opposition to skating.
