They’ve got the rest of the month to raise $17,000 (in addition to the $58,000 already raised) and then the Baltimore City Department of Rec and Parks will match their funds with a donation of 75,000. I used to think Pink Flamingos and Female Trouble were very atmospherically creative til I got briefly stuck in east? Baltimore on my way elsewhere once… and it made them John Waters movies seem a little bit like documentaries. (Though okay, the hulking women sitting on their front steps in their bras weren’t transvestites, and weren’t eating shit, but still….)
