These 100% cardboard skateboards from Bill Barminski are really cool. Not quite $1000 cool, but maybe he prices them that high so he doesn’t have to turn them over to anyone else.

I am a supporter of art(s) but for 1000 bucks I’d get a skateboard out of Lego….or cake.
Maybe the ‘art’ part is in the contradiction between the heap of money and the vulnerability of the work. I feel a slight urge to hold a torch against those things.
The trucks need to look better.

I do like the art, but 1,000 dollars is silly. Sorry, but its really silly.

Hmmm… I wonder if he made the Cardboard machinegun that banksy used at the MOCA show. This guy was in a show with Banksy too. $1000 is a lot for some cardboard art. Side note, there is an all cardboard art show coming up in PDX.

Digg’n the sticker job on the “76 Special”. I had the same… all car stickers (Holly, STP, Moon eyes, etc.)

Looked at his site, a bunch of that s#!t has sold! Cardboard guns, spray paint cans, shoes – all card board. $1000 a pop. FTW. Where’s some cardboard and white paint at?
