I have to hand it to my mother in-law, she’s really gotten better with her gifts for the most part. She’s gotten past the part of just getting anything skateboard related, and she’s really thoughtful about it. Still, I totally cracked up when I go this in the mail from her for Christmas. Not only do I already have Disposable, but it happens to be the second edition which has a quote by me on the inside dust jacket! I got an extra giggle because my mother in-law is an author herself. All in all it brought me unexpected joy, which is the purpose of giving a gift in the first place. Sidenote: I just realized the type alternates colors on different editions of the book.

I have in mind a European centered view on skateboards – spin offs from the glorious american dream era (70’s) and original creations – namely early longboards from the 90’s and 2000.
Ever heard of Rabbit, SC8, UnderGrind, Supa, Aluflex, NoWave, … ?

Wish there was more books like Disposable and Disposable (skate bible). How about a book devoted to all the 90’s graphics. Since the turnover was so frequent I am sure that there will be graphics I had never even seen. Nowadays all the team graphics are the board companies names with different color ways. I’m looking at you Baker.

Forget Baker but they’re not alone on that.
There are way too many 90’s and 00’s graphics to put in one book. However there are a number of different books on skateboard graphics (I have about a dozen). Some books combine them with surf and snowboard graphs.
I too wished for the Bible to be more extensive,with a more complete chapter on freestyle and a chapter cut-off ‘at the new school truck holes’ (’92-’93),and I want a Bible on longboards… Still the books photography is a feast on the eyes. Enjoy because I think Sean is done with it.
