Since my alien abduction a lot has changed; especially my feelings for those in white robes pushing synthetic drugs…….that aside, I love the simpler linestyle in this latest comic art.

Autism isn’t a disease either, its a syndrome. There is a lot research still hasn’t been able to answer or determine about it’s properties and behavioral symptoms. 3 years ago Asperger syndrome was considered a completely separate syndrome from Autism. Now the medical community has rather accepted Aspergers syndromes as functional stages or degrees of Autism. And I’ve seen independent research that shows even glucose, HFCS, and other food additives can have an effect on the symptoms and behaviors of both syndromes. So K.C is right, absolutely, that you just don’t know much until you are personally affected. It’s one thing to accept your child is special needs or has M.R. It’s something entirely different to have no certainty, no conclusive explanation, from a Dr., on how to figure out what is going on with your kid, or what is best for them in a situation like that. Too often a child is diagnosed with Asperger, for lack of a conclusive answer. My 2 cents, I’m out.

  • I don’t have a kid and I’m not very informed about autism. But my wife is a research scientist at the UW. KCs right on point about paying attention to who’s paying for research. If a company funds research that sez the product they make is bunk. You won’t be hearing about it on cnn or in the new york times.

But Jenny Mccarthy is a nutjob

  • Like I said, if you had a kid with autism, you might be a little more informed on the subject. I don’t trust everything the mainstream media tells me, and the big pharmaceutical companies fund those studies, (and the American Medical Journal and the BMJ.) Read the comments of the people on the CNN link. My kid changed over night when he had his 2 year old immunizations. We later found out that the doctors had screwed up and given him 2 sets of the same shot. I’m not saying that immunizations are bad, or every kid is going to have adverse reactions, but I don’t have blind faith when it comes to conventional western medicine. I’m going skating.

  • If you had a kid with autism, you might be a little more informed on the subject. I wouldn’t assume that because someone is a doctor, that they are specialists in neurological disorders.

  • I think it’s hilarious that the same people who won’t vaccinate their kids will still get in cars every day.

  • I’ll trade my fame for a life in obscurity as long as it includes a bowl in my backyard. 😉 Cretins’ll make ya famous!

Oh, and our pediatrician went to school and stuff… so we listened when she said we should vaccinate theBoy. She doesn’t tell me how to do a nollie bs disaster, and I don’t tell her how to do her job.

Thank you, that explains a lot for us out-of-towners.

Is this a commentary for or against vaccinating? Or neither?
