Skate and Annoy: Daily

The Daffy is dead. Long live the Daffy.

Well some things you don’t think will ever make a comeback, but Kilian Martin is at it again in another video from Bret Novak, who’s accepting donations to put towards the series. There’s some interesting moves in there, and I know you will enjoy it because absolutely everyone that visits SnA is open minded and has no hangups about how other people skate….

– Thanks to Ted Schwallie for the tip.

  • I really like Bret’s work I have watched both Killian parts and Joe Flemke’s I will never be capable fo skating in this manner but Bret makes what they are doing so entertaining that it goes beyond the skating

  • Kilian is an amazing skater, he can and does do way more then what is displayed in this video. Also, there is no such thing as old school anymore. It’s called Freestyle. The new school. 😀

  • I love this guy’s skating! I’ve got very little interest in learning to do what he does, but I think it’s fun as hell to watch. Hooray for variety!

  • Finally watched this and the Richie Jackson part. These two skate wizards made me happy, even though it’s raining and I’m not out skating. Thanks.

  • That’s odd (and by odd I mean flamboyantly happy)… I didn’t write “*fabulous*”.

  • Nonsurfers who use the slur “kook” are kooks, cuz it just comes off as a criticism of odd, and is superfluous, since the phobic-in-general can employ “gay” for THAT. Whereas in surfing “kook” means something specific, and has nothing to do with odd, cuz it’s from the Hawaiian word “kuka”, which means a certain type of turd, specifically a floater. (So, whereas the Eskimo language doesn’t really have a hundred words for snow, it seems Hawaiian must have several for turd.)

  • Gnarles Copinghagen

The footage is so clear that it almost looks like animation at times. Did I see a pair of oldschool Vision Street Wear hightops at one point? They making those again?

  • He’s not a Kook, he is a Chef.

  • This dude is a kook! End of story

  • The cinematography in this video and that recent fingerboard video are amazing.
The skating is pretty mind blowing as well.

    • definitely, did you notice how in the beginning he’s in slow motion but all the people walking around him are sped up? footage is so great and the skating is so creative.

It IS amazing.Every landing of every ollie, and other things you hear and see,is on the beat of the music.

    “Cameron is dead,long live…”

And kudo’s to you,Kilwag for giving freestyle some webspace here.

  • Cool I wonder what the Mutt thinks of it.

  • PIG CITY

Immediate thoughts, not another one of these clown skater types. But I kind of like this guys tricks. Spoilt by some pretty gay music though IMO
