Sponsor Luv: S&A welcomes… Welcome
I ‘m stoked to welcome Welcome Skateboards to our list of sponsors. Welcome has an attitude I can relate to, some cool shapes and a graphic called the Princetaur slays me. Find out more about Welcome after the jump.
Welcome Skateboards is a Southern Californian-based company that is determined to make hardgoods matter. No longer should non-popsicle shaped boards be only regarded only as cruisers or old man boards. Your board should matter to you and say something about you. Graphics should be more than just a knock off of something or a fancy way to write the company’s name. Graphic series suck too…it’s all basically the same graphic anyway with only one in the series that ever looks good. Our graphics are art-based and meaningful. We attempt to grant the rider of our boards magical powers by casting a spell on every deck that leaves our stock.
Our boards are made at PS Stix, which is still the best woodshop in skateboarding and has been since the eighties. We aren’t looking to save money by using less color lams and Chinese manufacturing. We aim to make boards that are worth what you pay for them.
As for our team, we are all friends here and we are all are working from the same belief system when it comes to skateboarding. We think skaters should be well-rounded and love skating…not just guys who skate for the camera and a paycheck. The way we see it, your approach to skating is just as important as your skating itself. There are probably only a handful of popular skaters today that we would even consider for our team…and most of them are ams. Like in the adult film industry, amateurs are where it’s at!
This company is skater-owned, and not another rehash of a pro front-ending a company that is actually run by some business guy in the background.
This company was started because we didn’t see a single company representing our thinking and making products they way we wanted. We welcome those who feel the same to join our cult.
Love and kisses,
Voldemort
