Drama still unfolding. Surrounding neighbors and businesses are 100% with the exception of one not-to-bright business owner whose main objection is that “those kids have no right to be there.” The area is desolate, any kid with a broom is only making an improvement.

I think what you all are doing is great. Everytime my grandson comes over he asks if we can go to the skate spot. It’s nice there is a place so close. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK Ellen

I haven’t rode this yet and I’m already sick of it. If I see one more phoned in lip trip on this thing I’m gonna go paint a giant dick and balls on it.

You are truly an inspiration Carl.

Now, it’s the Shot of the Week over at SkateDaily.Net, thanks to Mr. Kanights:

The first section looks so old in that shot, and it’s only a week older than the second pour.

Jeez, I was down there today for 2 or 3 hours and saw at least 15 people come and go. Some found it on here, some heard about while getting a new deck at a shop. Out of towners from the Bay, and local park builders. Might as well add this to the resume.

monday morning I showed up and the concrete was separated a good 3 inches away from the barrier with significant crumbling. small black burnout tracks led from the dirt straight into the closed lot of a neighboring repo lot.
i was there for several minutes discussing the barrier with a fellow skater, when someone who worked there (owner maybe) drove by us and gave us a small smile.
minutes later a portland cop rolled up and talked to several other employees who had gathered out front to point and talk about me and the other skater. whatever, the business owner can have the needle riddled concrete himself. skaters at least cleaned it up

That’s a sweet spot! Wouldn’t it be nice if every neighborhood had a jersey barrier like that?
Hopefully the one business owner doesn’t fuck things up for those guys. Looks like a lot of work has been put into that.

you forklift the barrier, i throw 12 more bags of concrete at you!
