Wheelbone connected to the…

The Wheelbone is blowing up. I suppose if you are going to go with the training equipment method, this weird rubber device that looks like a marital aid makes more sense than a special set of soft trucks. $20 gets you a sort of board condom that is ribbed for her pleasure. And speaking of marital aids, check out how the logo throbs on the web site. It’s very lewd, yet strangely enticing. Go ahead, it’s OK to experiment while you’re in college. Are you feeling vaguely confused? It might have something to do this inexplicably strange boardslide shot. Seriously. Check out the throbbing Wheelbone logo.

Nose bone – dont need it
    Skid plate – nope
    copers – joke
    laper – what?
    rails – go faster
risers – make natural wheel wells (once again go faster)
grip tape – pussy (probably wear pads too)

    • Talentlessquitter

Well, alright but I think I’ll (wink wink) stick to my griptape.

  • Dorky looking shortcut to skill (*cough*pads*cough*). …NOT that there’s anything wrong with that.

    • If you’d skated concrete parks in the ’70s you’d understand pads. We were inventing this shit. Going padless once you know it’s possible isn’t all that…

      • Shortcuts are sort of realistic, ya know? And I hear (wait, I was there, I know) that there was rain in the seventies… and even some ironic finger pointing.

      • yea! and pads arn’t a short cut to skill. last week I was watching this little kid attempt 360 airs for about an hour. it would have been “I watched this kid try a 360 air and then become cripppled” if he was not wearing pads. currently I don’t wear pads. but I used to pad up for the street, and dude, I have taken the long route to skill (if you can call it that). anyways the “wheelboner” is lame, and pads are sort of realistic, ya know?

    Yes, Alanis. That’s right.

Although I’ll concede that my commentary wasn’t very funny and some what misdirected, to a further extent, I found it amusing and ironic that a word in my post was singled out(of context) as an insult that was itself, pointless at worst. Or subject to relativity at best.

These threads are made up of mostly opinions and not groundbreaking philosophy.

It wasn’t a big speech it was more like just bitching. And joking. So to make the comment that mine was ineffectual, here, is a little bit ironic, don’t you think?

And holy shit, what a dissertation this is! In response. To replies. To my ineffectual commentary.

    Skateboarding.

  • I am going to make a ton of money off my new idea: wheels that don’t roll! I am not sure if it’s going to be a special wheel? or maybe a hightech bearing that can lock. my product will also fit rollerblades (I’ll make twice as much off them). I am working on some bmx concepts too, like a chair with a handle bar.

  • I landed a kickflip once(actually a few times) on an old longboard I used to own. It was a “Flip” board. it had an almost “new school” shape to it really narrow and it was about 37″ long. The graffic was a little too hippyish for me but that was a fun board. What was the topic again?

  • Soo, don’t buy one? Cause it said I could learn The Kickflip, not a kickflip but The Kickflip. Come on!

  • Vegetable Lasagna

    Heavens!

  • some kid cuts up a bike innertube and straps it to the wheels and the next thing you know his dad’s on a plane to china to visit some manufacturers…

  • ticorico

“Throbbing Wheelbone”…that is clissic, bravo! Sometimes Truth is definitely strnager than fiction.

    • ticorico

Jeeze Louize, sorry about they typos, must have been distracted by the homo-erotically inspired skate accessory, or maybe I just need a cup of coffee?

  • Wheelboner.

  • fester combs

carpet…it’s called carpet..and no one over ten should be seen with one of these fucking skate rubbers..how many ways can we get china to make useless shit that we will sell to useless shits? sorry, i guess it’s innovative, ‘wheelbone dude!’

  • finally. something for longboarders to be able to make fun of.

  • Talentlessquitter

After 100 ‘practise ollies’,you are comfortable with it.
When you try to land your first ollie on wheels, your body has forgotten you’re on a rolling vehicle.
It will make you slam even harder.

Rodney Mullen joins the Harlem Globetrotters?

  • JakeAndAnnoy

…sez the avatar on fruit-boots, with no sense of irony.

    • You accusing him of “no sense of irony” seems ironic.

      • Alanis Moronette

Jake, “seems” he sensed it was ironic for you to point the ineffectual finger. Did YOU sense it, and were “being” ironic?

      • JakeAndAnnoy

“seems”. All I can say is that BEING ironic and having a sense of it are not the same thing.

  • your commentary was totally ineffectual jake, your right.

  • Some guy accidently left a skateboard with those plastic “trucks” on it for doing stationary ollies on it at the walnut creek skatepark one day. I couldn’t bring myself to take it or even try it. This kid tre needed a new board way more than I did anyway. I think he sold the stupid plastic things to someone but I am not sure.

  • JakeAndAnnoy

How fuckin retarded and spoiled and ineffectual is this generation? I can see the infomercial now…

“Tired of using your natural,expense-free, environment, as an aid to learning how to ollie in place”?!!

“Pesky grass-stains mucking up your $70 skate jeans!!??” “Well, you could just wear Dickies but their cheap and will clash with your big, baggy jacket with little machine guns prints,Yuck!!!”

…”And how many times has your mom has warned you about destroying the crappy brown carpet in your room, not to mention sidewalk and driveway cracks are outside, where you can be seen and mocked as “sucky” or not looking cool!! “Yet for a small price of $20, you can look like a whole other kind of pussy!”….
