Skate and Annoy: Daily

FU!

I was at a children’s birthday party (you know, looking for dates) that was outside. I noticed one of the skate stoppers was a little loose, so as I sat there and made polite small talk I just kept wiggling. After I got it home I rummaged through a pile of allen wrenches I had left over from assorted trips to Ikea. It turns out I had a handful of them that were the right size. I tried to rig up a drill to make a small hole in the tip to accommodate the nipple (Hee hee!) but I couldn’t get it to work. All my bits were already chewed up and I couldn’t make a purchase in the small end. Somewhere, someone i China is manufacturing theses modified allen wrenches. Finding them on the internet is like looking for a needle in a haystack . I may give it another go with a new drill bit. Until then, Enlarge-o-rama.

Out of focus close up.

  • Immature assholes!

Children will be children. Now if you ever find out who your parents are maybe you’ll get your shit together….

  • some napalm and a bit of gunpowder can also provide the desired effect, jus sayin

  • Thrashkillmcfly

Electrical holesalers stock these as they are common security requirements for public access live part enclosures, I use these for the street lights

    free the landscape!

  • Those are sold as security bits. There sold everywhere. Snap -on. Matco or mac tools.

  • Harbor freight is your friend. $7.99 for the entire set.

    security bit set

A lot of times you can bust out that little nub with a small flat blade screwdriver. Then you standard Allen wrench should work just fine.

  • job well done!

  • They’re ‘tamperproof Allen head’ screws. You can buy sets of bits to suit any screw known to man quite cheaply, the first 1/2 dozen aluminium stoppers you sell for scrap should cover it.
You’d need a cobalt drill to get through the hardening on any half decent Allen key.

  • Make your life easy and simply pick up a few easy-outs.

  • Winks is the bomb…take in the bolt, they’ll hook you up.

  • just get a hardened bit the same size as the head of the screw, and drill the head of the screw away, enabling you to just lift the stoppers off and then use an angle grinder to get rid of the screw nub. not that i would ever encourage such behavior.

  • Those are the same allen screws that hold my license plates on. I got the screws and an allen wrench with the whole in it at Auto Zone.

  • every bit for any security screw, get yourself a cordless screwgun and you’ll decaping ledges in record time.

  • Search for “security bits set”. There is already a filmer in Whales Vagina useing them, they’re usually glued down too so you’ve got to knock them off with a hamer or truck

  • WC Wink’s hardware should have em’, that place is sweet!

  • try searching “booth wrench”. those silly bolts are the same ones used in telephone systems.

  • Search “tamper proof torx”.

  • Carl is a dick

Good one, Dave. I found a bunch of stoppers on the freeway while handling my adopt-a-highway responsibilities.

We should make some skatestopper art.

  • If you find one you can also take advantage of all the posters that are behind the glass at the bus stops.

  • You’re liberating ledges? Do you caveman them?
