Skate and Annoy: Daily

lance mountain in extremely sorry.

Worst ISP, Best Lance Mountain vid ever

I might be changing hosts, possibly as early as the weekend. Had hoped to wait so I could spring a redesign on you at the same time, but the recent incredibly bad customer service I’ve been experiencing during the intermittent server outages of the past week… sheesh! There are actually a couple of tech support guys at IX Webhosting that have been really cool, it’s just the people around them making the decisions that have been the bane of my existence. Who knows, maybe you won’t even be able to read this because the site is down. In the mean time, expect a scarcity of updates in the immediate future.

Two great things happened though. One reader asked if I was experiencing problems that a donation might help. I am blown away and flattered that someone would even consider that, and I don’t want to embarrass anyone, but thanks for the offer Ben! However, I’m not going to pass the hat, not my style. If anyone feels like helping out, there’s always t-shirts for sale.

Second thing, I saw the best video clip I’ve seen since, well, the last great movie clip, say the opening segment from Fully Flaired. There’s no explanation of this on YouTube, but I have to guess that it’s the Lance Mountain segment of the new Flip video, in which case, I’m Extremely Sorry about the copyright infringement. See how many homages to famous Lance Mountain moments you can find. Amazing skating too. Extremely Awesome.

– Thanks to Jeff Haynes for the involuntary tip via Facebook.

Geez, just put it on Russian YouTube already… I tired to get a collection going to actually buy this video on Saturday when it was raining.

  • they want compensation for their infomercial? skate companys should just let us see it free. I guess they think it’s such a load of work, doing all this “filming” stuff. I think it’s BS! try telling someone who works in a factory 40+ hrs a week what a hard job being a pro skater is. Lance is a hero of mine, but I doubt he’s ever worked a day in his life. “artists” make art regardless of money. pro skaters should be paid by there companys that make money off them, but just put out the advertisements for free ok? back in the day every kid in my hometown had a bootleg vhs tape with “Bones Brigade Video Show”, Skate Visions, and Future Primitive”. it did not hurt business

  • yea your back. whos webb shariff stop pulling videos

  • Damn, “The Man” already took the video down. Is the point of a skate video to make a profit directly, or is it to market the brand/products etc. so people want to buy them? If you restrict your video does that then effect the perception of your brand? Just questions…

Good luck with the serve BS.

    Firefox+downloadhelper+Lance on youtube= Happy.

  • Whoa. Amazing, regardless of his age. Thanks for re-posting, JF.

I saw that vid the other day……Insane. When he jumped over the ladder rail with his board going under my jaw dropped. It dropped on a few other spots as well. Lance is insance, I liked some of the perspective angles as well.

  • and whatever P-ROD…Bob bringing street tricks to the mega ramp. He’s not human.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3TY2Bu_Mhg

  • watch it while you can…so sick. Lance rules.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baaeBWdiHAw

  • Yeah, I saw the premiere up in Vancouver a couple weeks ago. Lance pretty much rules it really hard. Theatre was going going off for Bob’s part too, which is pretty epic.

  • Welcome back SNA . Its rad seeing Mr Mountain skate . Just wish it wasnt in a pair of Nike’s.

  • Welcome back!

Holy crap! I can’t believe the site is till up. I probably just jinxed it.

  • I wanna see it. please post a link if you find it.

  • Keep searching for it… it pops up, and then is gone… it is indeed worth the effort. And I’ll be buying the vid anyway. (Look for Bob’s part too.) The pool Lance skates is HIS. And for those who haven’t seen it… here’s a little incentive: Hippie jump over/under the stair rail – IN the bowl (not on deck). Yea, he can skeet.

  • Hooray, the site’s back! Boo, videos been pulled.
