Commercial Barrage

I haven’t uploaded any commercials in a while, among other things. I’m so far behind and there are so many occurrences of skateboards in commercials these days that I’m going to gang a few together each time we post. This installment features 5 Hour Energy Drink, Kohls department store, Kashi cereal, Axe deoderant, and LIV dolls.

5 Hour Energy Drink

Classic showdown of the odd couple. It’s stereotypical radical douchebag vs. mature douchebag. Get a job you unruly teenager. Then you can be a prick like me, instead of just a wad. I’m surprised they actually called out Monster.

Kohls carries Hawk shoes and clothing.

And Birdhouse product placement to boot. I wonder if that is a contractual obligation.

Features actual technical skateboarding, as well as a stunt bail. Who is this guy?

Features legitimate skateboarding, supposedly three dudes battling it out.

Ollies over an ostrich?

This is actually funny. Blink and you’ll miss the bomb drop over the guy on a Segway backing up.

I suppose these are the other two contenders?

LIV Dolls

Not since BRATZ has a doll on a skateboard had so much moxie and fashion sense.

I wonder if the girl on skates is lower on the pecking order?

Stunt doll skateboarding.

Real life counterpart. Hold on tight!

Because a physical toy isn’t enough, there has to be a virtual counterpart.
