WIll there be any Chuck Taylors?

Jim Gray skated the Converse Costal Carnage ramp set up. As he says, barge now ask later. Jim’s friend Eric Lee snapped the pics of Jim skating, with Jim’s camera, so credit where credit is due means… I don’t know. I’ve got two bonus shots from the Baade, he says the ramp is the Red Bull miniramp with a an added bowl. It’s all modular and moveable. Hmmm… Interesting. Maybe some folks at the X Games should take note. Modular and reusable is better than temporary and partially recyclable. Either way, looks fun!

  1. That thing looks like a cement skatepark.
    Who designed it?

I’m reall enjoying the resurgence of bowl contests. Vert will always have a special place in my heart but bowls are the best. Fun to ride, fun to watch and it seems the contests allow for a wider range of stiles and creativity.

If Converse put this kind of money into designing a non-foot-tourturing Chuck I’d buy a pair.

  5. That looks like alot of fun .

  6. looks like a cool bowl….and Jim rules.

  7. Prickly Pete, I think this CTS model is intended to be what you are asking for. I haven’t tried it so I can’t vouch for it. The Pro Leather looks like the old suede All Stars, too:
