I’ve driven by that bank a few times. I always want to stop and skate but never seem to be able to. I can’t believe it hasn’t been stoppered.
that thing was in afew videos… i recognize it from the Antisocial video that came out afew years go.
Skated it a long time ago. Good spots to be had in Van.
skated those things since 86 as well.
there’s a nasty drain thing at the bottom as usually there’s water coming down the banks.
What you can’t see in those photos, at least I can’t, is the waterfall feature on the vertical wall. I was walking by there a few weeks ago and imagined Bryce shooting Childress doing a wallride through the water.
Can’t exactly say why those particular characters jumped into my head, but they did. It just seems like something those guys would do.
Wait a minute, brick banks occur in real life?
I skated this bank last summer.
I was working as a courier, and deliver to 1500 W Georgia pretty regularly. I started calling all my skate pals when I saw they had drained the big water feature/pool thing up top that feeds the waterfall so they could clean it and paint it. It was dry for weeks. Otherwise it’s hit and miss to when it’s dry.
Sometimes they turn off the water, most of the time it seems to be on. Watch out for the lip at the bottom of the bank.
