SOTW: Pierre in France
Well now, that’s not a joke, it’s a legitimate caption. This week’s Shot of the Week is from a photographer who goes by the name of TimoT on Flickr. Old Pierre is hitting a blunt to fakie on a DIY spot somewhere in France. Check out this week’s Shot of the Week.
wouldnt it be funny if he wasnt wearing etnies?
It’s our first D.I.Y. spot, located on a surelevated and abandoned industrial rail station.
At the beginning, it was cover by grass, and so we have cleaned the spot, and built it in 2007.

But unhappyly there are houses not far from the spot, whith neighbours seeking silence…
Furthermore we have done some regrettable mistakes in the conception, especially on the base of the volcano, we would have done a keeway or add fortifier to the concrete.
Now the spot has returned to his original form, with vegetation, and it’s really hard to skate because of all the holes.
Nevertheless it was a great experience, now we know how to build little things.
Sorry LP, Pierre actually doesn’t wear a pair of Etnies. If he does, we could try to take another picture (of a trick of your choice). 🙂
Is it near the place where the naked ladies dance?
i dig this photo. it makes me happy.
I think the words “old Pierre” may have led some to believe this was a picture of Pierre Andre who started Etnies. The name Pierre is confusing to me. That reminds me, I saw Per Welinder at Calskate a couple of weeks ago.
He is the only guy to ever beat Rodney Mullen in a skate contest.
In the 80’s there were so many freestyle skaters named Per or Pierre it was hard to tell who was who, and what country they were from. It seems like they all were pretty smart, and started there own companies and went on to make millions. Freestylers got heckled alot back then, but I think they got the last laugh.
