Nash Nightmare

Nash Nightmare

This might be your last chance to get a Nash skateboard with graphics that aren’t an absolute pile of shite. This 80’s era Nash Nightmare auction ends at 8:47pm, Baltimore time. They must have hired someone from outside their usual talent pool for this graphic. To be fair, they had some really cool graphics in the steel wheel era, followed by a 15 year drought. I swear the Nightmare is on par with some of the Creature stuff…

Looks like it might be called the “Night Mare” instead of the Nightmare. Ahh… skateboard semantics.

  • I think mike must have come home early from happy hour.

  • Why couldn’t have some people chipped in and got me a Vision or a Powelle Porolta or a Natas compass, with some good wheels, trucks, bearing, and rails. No, I didn’t matter. I didn’t need a real skate board. I wasn’t that important. Even though all the other kids had nice boards.

  • This board had plastic trucks. Plastic trucks! After practicing grinding for a summer they snapped in half after wearing down. It wasn

Vintage NASH Night Mare SKATEBOARD (pink)

  • I had a pink Nash Night Mare. I used to ride it in my driveway when I was 10.

  • Dude! That is my first board in the 80s! I wonder if my parents still have it in there garage…I remember the grip tape wasn’t really tape, it was more like glitter glued onto the deck, it scraped off so easily. The wheels were plastic and I remember going down my hill and hitting a rock and the board just stopped and I kept going and broke my wrist for my first skateboard injury. Yeah, I wanted it because of the graphic too! 🙂 ha! I got smart after that and got a Alva deck with Indy trucks and some OJ’s!

  • hot poo, my first board!

  • jaundiced applehead

got a deck with a photo of hogan, jason (of the 13th), but no female horse at night. this board is misleading..

  • A

    Is that Hulk Hogan?

  • I think the graphic needs more “brains squirting out the ear”. haha. What would skateboarding be without Nash?

  • Found a board with the same graphic but fish tail shape, in a free pile on the side of the road. O so crappy plastic trucks and all. It’s graphics are still mostly complete but the bottom ply is delaminating.

  • That lettering is pretty nightmarish.

  • It had to have been available in pink and orange too. I don’t think it’s possible for me to be impartial about anything Nash. They were just everywhere and were such absolute pieces of crap. If I were a collector I would have to have one though.

    • I have one in orange. It’s not in the worst of shape either surprisingly. I picked it up a thrift store in town for 2 bucks haha.

  • this might be the board that inspired Creature’s schtick. at first glance I figured the post was about creatures foray into the “cruser” realm. I gotta wonder if this board also came out in other colors. I like how there is a lack of grip where the front foot should be.
