Ben Cannard sent in some pics of his old Alphonso Rawls model on Evol, that features Janet Jackson. There is some confusion about this on the Interwebs™. Some people remember it alternately as a Droors ad or a Fuct advertisement. I don’t remember it at all, which would place it in the early 90’s. I find it hard to believe that it’s not photoshopped. I guess Janet Jackson was slumming it trying to get some street cred out of skateboarding. If I’ve got the story wrong, by all means fill me in. I plead ignorance.

I remember it as a droors ad and not evol. Maybe they used the picture for both? I also remember the Danny Way one as well.

Anyone remember the the Droors “got milk?” ad, where Alfonso(?) was sucking on a tittie? It was 95ish.

There was a similar Droors ad but it was Danny Way and it ripped off a Calvin Klien ad (I think). The only reason I remember is my friend hung it on the back of his door so parents wouldn’t see it.

it was evol, i had the t-shirt circa 95′. h street fell into evol ifim not mistaken, then evol started making snowboards, tony magnusson is cool, the end.

not a one off, I remember that model, a lot of Evol’s graphics were blatant rip-offs and usually changed frequently..

I remember that Rolling Stone issue. We can all learn from JJ, Implied boobs” are o.k. in the Super Market line but not ok at the Super Bowl!

I don’t remember anybody putting it on a deck though. That’s the first time I’ve seen that.
