Shot of the Week 1-26-09: Adam Hopkins, Burnaby B.C. Canada
This week’s Shot of the Week is Adam Hopkins skating in Burnaby, British Columbia. This is the teaser shot designed to disorient the viewr, the full frame shot will give you a totally different perspective. Dylan Davies took this shot in the fall of 2008. After you check outhte full frame Shot of the Week, (No peeking!) come back here to finish the conversation.
I love this shot. It looks like some sort of weird high dive or swimming pool complex, and the black sky makes it pop. It’s hard to tell what the heck is going on, but Adam is transferring into the quarter pipe. The location is Bonsor Park, Burnaby B.C.. There’s another shot form the session on Dylan’s blog. He’s working on a series of night shots that are really looking good. Once more time passes I’ll be hitting him up again for another Shot of the Week. He’s already had a few here.
Dudes a badass. Whupped me good in my favorite mall pool last winter. Disgustingly young and healthy…
Really fun park. Skate it if you can.
Actually, I’ve already got a whole boatload more from the night sessions. I even put an article in a good ol’ photocopy zine a bunch of my pals and me made.
I’ll scan them and put them up soon.
Nice that the aerosol coatings enthusiasts have a place to call their own. Cool shot. Transfer from where?
Looks like deep to shallow nollie hang-up
