Baltimore cop can be sued for abusing skateboarder

Baltimore Bad Lieutenant to get the business

Officer Salvatore Rivieri, one of Baltimore’s finest, is in the news again. The results of Baltimore’s internal investigation have yet to be released. The family of the scrawny teenage skateboarder he abused sued Officer Salvatore Rivieri for assault, battery and violation of rights. There was a legal question about the statute of limitations, a paltry 180 days. The family sued after 10 months, but a judge ruled that statute didn’t apply to minors for some reason, and now the $6 million suit can proceed. I’m all for sticking it to this guy, especially since he has a history of being a dick, but $6 million is an absurd amount. Flame on! – Thanks to Stephanie Murdoch and Derek Krasauskas for the tip.

  • If they make a made for TV movie out of this, Danny McBride should play the pig. I should be a casting director.

Second choice would be the guy who plays Farva in Super Troopers.

  • that spot looks really fun!

  • exactly, well said bro

  • That “Daddy Yo” warning was very innovative. Never seen anything like that before. I think you have something there.

That said, someone has to say it: Daddy Yo, you are a dick. I know that being contradictory just for the sake of it gives you a boner, and that by responding I am just “enabling” your neurotic craving for attention; but who cares. Do something else man.

Back to the thread. It is up to us citizens to police the police. I’m glad they are suing his ass. They won’t get 6 million, but it is enough to get their attention and put him in hot water. Behavior like that doesn’t help anyone and points to serious problems in screening, training, counseling and/or supervision.

  • once again,
when fun is outlawed, only outlaws will have fun

  • Simply Stupid

A man on the job abusing his authority with a child. Nail him to the wall “BACON WAR” style. The cop most likely wont have to pay that huge amount of money something much less, the legal system always asks for a huge amount of money them settle for less. This should just serve a lesson to Pig’s who think they can do what ever the fuck they want, that we wont stand for it. That is how we roll, bitches.

  • I used to hate the police… when I was 12!

i have respect for police, ive actually had pleasent encounters with the police where they stopped me, wrote me a ticket and went on with there business, i stop respecting them when they dont respect me, i find that many times, police officers make everything worse, they just look for reasons to be pissed off and its very disrespectful, i had a cop one time that asked me why i was moving my arms a lot and couldnt look him straight in the eyes, i said “i dunno i guess im just uneasy or nervous, after all i am getting a ticket” and for some reason he decided that this was reason enough to start yelling at me and telling me he was going to put me in handcuffs, and ive found that more often then not this is how they are, all they have to do is give me a ticket and leave me alone

yeah, who the fuck does Sting think he is? They sucked after the first album anyway. Oh wait. . . .

  • Seriously though. Im pretty much with Josh and Pete on this. The Police long ago forgot who the hell they work for. They harass people for no reason, beat and shoot people at any time they think they can get away with it. And really, anymore what do they do? they have become tax collectors at best, they dont actively try to stop crime, they spend most of their time writing traffic tickets, and respond to crime after it has happened and there has been enough complaints that they cant ignore it anymore.. I have little to no respect for police, and that is 1 of 100 examples why. Sure there are some decent ones out there but by and large they do not serve the community that pays them.

    Fuck’em Portland cops especially!

    or BACON WAR…

A merger of Bacon and Cold War, so to speak?

    COLD BACON!

The cop should be disciplined and/or fined, or fired since he has a history of abusing his authority, but that kid’s true “emotional damages” are so minimal, unless he is mentally unbalanced.

  • Will Jones

oh so you think what he did was a 6 million dollar mistake? kid didnt even go to the hospital, the guy should have to pay for a new skateboard and maybe 1000 for emotional damages

the big fine should come from the criminal charges, but according to this post “The results of Baltimore

  • jakeferranti

    “rediculous”? or “re-dick-u-less”?

  • uh … which part is the intriguing part?

  • Will Jones

6 million dollars? i agree thats rediculous

  • A

    Gross, yet oddly intriguing…

  • A merger of Bacon and Cold War, so to speak?

  • Is Randy going to sodomize Colin? Maybe this could be a feature of the next Bacon video premiere? Might want to find a venue other than DoS.

  • Kilway – Winner!

  • A

    hey Colin, I’ve got 6 bucks…

  • I hope that power tripping cop gets fucked over. That is the type of cop who make all cops look bad and makes it us against them. What kind of pussy picks on little kids like that? Obviously that cop has major esteem issues and shouldn’t be in an authoritarian position. Guaranteed those kids and many other impressionable youths who watched the footage will always hate cops.

  • for 6 million dollars i’d let this guy sodomize me!

  • Josh – the kid was not innocent.

Maybe if the police didn’t have to waste their time parenting punk skateboarders and defending themselves against phoney law suits brought by absentee parents then maybe they would have more time to stop the homicides.

I wonder how many of the people commiting homicides were liberals. I would say most were.

  • 216 homicides in Baltimore this year so far, but at least the cops are doing a good job keeping innocent kids in check.

    Fuck the police.

  • I just watched the video again.

Sure Officer Rivieri get a little pissed off but so what? Oh, he raises his voice at the little precious skater boy. Someone call the Waambulance.

If you watch the rest of the video you see the officer calms down as soon as the little punk stops being a punk , sits down and just about starts crying. He speaks quietly and respectfully and asked for the punk to call his Mommy to talk to her. I would like to know if that call went through and what was said. I

  • Can’t wait to see this member of the filth sink into the shit that he shat. (Rivieri that is…)

  • Kilwag – did you post this just for me?

This is one of my favorite guys on the web.

Oh no! Suspended with pay! How horrible! Ha, ha.

What is really funny about this is the parents of the kids trying to sue. They are the reason the little punk got his board taken from him.

    Hey, I thought skateboarding wasn’t a crime.

The “artist” is an even bigger joke. What an avant garde project!
