Boardistan is reporting that Bones Brigade understudy Ray Underhill passed away this morning after a long battle with a brain tumor. Sean Mortimor is credited as the source, but so far no official word on the Ray Underhill site, or Eastern Skate Supply, where he worked. I skated with Ray a few times, I am not sure he knew I was skating, none the less the sessions were good and I will be sad that it won’t happen again.

I’m proud to say I met Ray and skated with him at Tony’s Hawks Fallbrook Ramp with Scott Starr and Tom Inouye. A true gentleman and great role model.
