Skate and Annoy
looking for contributors
Help! I’m creatively bankrupt! (AKA Skate and Annoy is looking for contributors.) Skate and Annoy is looking for a few more good contributors. Sure, the benefits are mostly limited to the respect/scorn of your peers, but think of the glory…
Would-be contributors should be quick of wit and know their way around Photoshop enough to do a decent job at putting together the post graphics. There are a few a guidelines, but it’s mostly hands off. Candidates that are homophobic, racist or Republican need not apply. Just kidding about that Republican crack, which brings up another point. A different point of view could get you fast tracked. I’d liek to see more street coverage, I’m just not prepared to do it myself. By “street” I don’t necessarily mean kickflips and stair rails. Let’s see, I’ll need to see some examples, and I’m not interested in adding roster-hopping or shoe-release type of coverage. That’s not why people come here.
So again this has (almost) nothing to do with the recent disappearance of an almost daily guaranteed bit of content that used to appear here. What’s the reason, dear readers? It’s simple. I simply just can’t keep up the daily pace and I’m burning out. (See above graphic for proof) Rather than let the site languish, I’m hoping to get a few other people on board to spread it out a little, and if nothing else, some fresh blood will stoke me as well.
I’m not looking for someone to post four stories a day, rather more like a couple people to post something once a week each or more. If your interested, drop me a line.
How about an ongoing post based on some old guy learning to skate.
Oh just think of the fun we could have reading posts and seeing pics of some poor old sucker getting his ass handed to him on a weekly basis by Pier or any of the other beautiful bone breaking parks we have in the NW.

You forgot how fun it is to have your contributions heckled by the bobcat. He means well, I know.
Dude it’s the internet. Lighten up, Francis.
never mind all that, what the hell is that deck in the pic? Me likee. Great idea for a series of decks.
William Shakespeare and who else? William Blake?
William Burroughs would be more punk rock!
Bobcat, seriously, you should be a contributor, you find some great stuff to be annoyed about period. I support ya, I know where your coming from- BOBCAT FOR PRES is what I say.
Burroughs is too obvious. I’ll take Rimbaud, Richard Dawkins, and Aldous Huxley
Will won’t
Dude it
Lee Harvey, you are a madman!
madam, there’s a lot of ways I’ve gone that you’ve never gone before.
“My friends call me the Cruiser.”
“Shoulda called him the Dork.”
(Nice pull Larry) One of these men may save your life one day. Then again, maybe one of them won’t.
Uncle Hullka?
I’ll give you a review on the new Real McKenzies CD later this week. Really, truly I will. This won’t be a 99 Lives incident.
And the Lemonheads are covering “Layin’ Up With Linda” and a Christina Aguilara song on their new album. And Motorhead comes out with a new one, and Fucked Up has a new album in September!
Yeah and Sloopy Seconds just released a flop called Endless Bummer ( All sloopy records are flops).
I don’t know what you’re looking for here. What the hell is photoshop?
If you’re looking for a writer, well I can do that… It’s sorta an east coast-bad vibe-shitty karma style, but i can do it.
Here is an example of a letter I sent to Lowcard Rag:

Hamid,
Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to ya. I just got done shelling out a bunch of $$$ to the local zoning board. They strong armed me into getting a variance for our shop. The letter they sent went something like this:
Dear Mike,
We realize that due to the shitty economy, now is probably the worst time since the Great Depression to extort money from a new small business such as yours.
But…
Either pay us money, or we close your shop.
To show our appreciation for your money, we’ll send you a piece of paper that’s just a touch too rough to wipe your ass with.
Sincerely,
The Bloomfield Zoning Board
p.s. Hope your kids have enough to eat. We know how rough it is out there. : )

so… now that’s over and done with (didn’t even get a reach around) I can get back to the business of doing business.
I think I got the lowdown on Lowcard from Reija.
What I need to know is when I get an order worked up for ya, how do I pay ya?
Cash? Credit Card?
Anyhow… let me know and I’ll get an order off to you just as soon as the Federal Govt. bails out my bank.
Thanks!

P.S. The easiest way to get a-hold of me is by email. I detest cell phones… damn things… with the constant ringing and vibrating and brain cancer. I’m not much of a talker anyways.
Thanks.

I could write up some product reviews for ya as I get new stuff in, both new and old school- give you the ups and downs of owning a skateshop in a very conservative farming community (the Amish don’t live too far off and I swear the KKK runs the next town over)- and well, just be downright annoying
The first contribution I could send you is an email battle royal I had with my NHS rep. when he sent me the wrong stuff.
Let me know.
