Skate and Annoy: Daily

Gimp

Heavy Metal

I can’t get away from my wasteful lust for old-growth maple veneers. I’ve been skating for too many years and am set in my ways. But my ever aging and growing inner-nerd can’t help but be intrigued by the innovations of using alternative materials to make skateboards. Aluminum boards have been around forever, but boards like Corbus Boards are all together something new. Made to be a functional piece of industrial art, these boards are meant to be ridden claims Corbus. A runaway board could make one of these metal monsters an ankle guillotine. Images via Corbus, link thanks to Make

Their product shots and models remind me so much of my tenure in art school, where your only goal was to invoke the viewers first thought of “WTF is going on?” Which is all it takes to qualify it as art.

    my lawn doesnt cut itself.

  • Bunch of wank, there should be a law against people making this shit. I couldn’t care less if its functional or not.

  • …because nothing helps you deal with your own homosexuality quite like fagbashing!

  • “hey you guys wanna go rip it up on my new $300 skate board that’ll make me look more like a faggot” says dude in above picture”maybe ill go hit up that park after i slit my wrists” …………wow this is soooo gay ….i’d actually punch someone off of one of these if thhey were riding it..fucking emos

  • damienhialation

I’m too sad to skate. Why bother buying a board at all… Conformists!

  • I had every intention on buying one of these boards until I realized I wasn’t goth enough to pose with it. It’s a sad realization that I’m still reeling over.

  • VulgarDisplayCFH

So anyone gonna bite the bullet and buy one?

  • enemy combatant

    No tits!!!

  • Prickly Pete

He’s at a playground with a cemetery in the background. 100% goth!

  • ITS A MAN, BABY!

  • I think that pink haired girl is the same guy above in drag.

  • Say what you like, I think that pink haired girl on the site is fuckin’ hot!

  • I’ve riden a few of Corbus’s boards and I can attest that they are completely functional and not much heavier than a regular longboard.

  • looks like one of the models is posing at the pike place fish market.

on behalf of seattle, i’d like to apologize.

  • nweyesk8

he looks like a future gay serial killer

  • VulgarDisplayCFH

Haha that guy looks like a duck.

I doubt any of these are actually THAT functional.

Man, I was saving this for Monday. The models were cracking me up too.

    Especially this character:

I’m going to go listen to some Bauhaus now.
